Sam Farmer of the Los Angeles Times reports that ticket sales for Sunday’s NFC Championship Game between the San Francisco 49ers and Los Angeles Rams at SoFi Stadium are on pace to break a StubHub record. The matchup between the NFC West rivals, the third of the season, is set to become the best-selling playoff game in the history of the ticket sales site.
Stubhub says that 49ers-Rams is on track to be the No. 1 best-selling playoff game in the site’s history.

The 49ers have won six straight contests against the Rams, the last coming during the regular-season finale at SoFi Stadium. Sunday’s matchup will send one of the two teams to the Super Bowl. For San Francisco, it could be the team’s second trip to the big game in three years.
The Rams may have contributed to the surge in ticket sales. The Southern California team restricted sales by region through their official ticket distributor, Ticketmaster, likely resulting in increased sales on the secondary market. Ticketmaster later lifted that restriction.
The Week 18 contest saw 49ers fans outnumber Rams fans by what looked (and sounded) like a significant margin. The game at SoFi Stadium looked like a 49ers home game, frustrating the Rams. Quarterback Matthew Stafford had to move to a silent count on offense because of the crowd noise. San Francisco won the overtime game 27-24.
“It was a tough environment for us to communicate in really the whole second half,” Stafford said after the game, per ESPN.
Meanwhile, the 49ers hope to see something similar when they kick off on Sunday.
“The Faithful, they travel tremendously,” quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo said this week. “When you can get your fans behind you like that on a road game—we knew it before the game even started. There was a lot of red. You could see it. But once we started making plays and they started getting loud, it just changes the momentum of the game, I think. … So hopefully, The Faithful will be out there loud and proud, and I know they’re trying.”

In the 49ers’ playoff-clinching performance against the division rival Los Angeles Rams, not only did the team secure a postseason berth, but they set a franchise record along the way.
Last Sunday, San Francisco received not one, not two, but three 90-yard performances from wide receivers—Brandon Aiyuk, who led the team with six catches for 107 yards, Deebo Samuel, who had four catches for 95 yards, and Jauan Jennings, who had six catches for 94 yards and two touchdowns, including the game-tying TD late in the 4th quarter.

As expected, it looks like both Jimmy Garoppolo and Fred Warner will be on the field for the San Francisco 49ers on Saturday night at Lambeau Field. Neither was listed when the team released its game status report for injured players.
Only three players—defensive end Nick Bosa (concussion), cornerback Ambry Thomas (knee), and defensive end Jordan Willis (ankle)—were listed as “questionable” for the game. However, head coach Kyle Shanahan sounded optimistic that Bosa and Thomas would be available against the Green Bay Packers.
“We’ve got to put him on there because of the steps of the [concussion] protocol, but it’s looking good,” Shanahan said of Bosa.

The San Francisco 49ers have announced that defensive end Nick Bosa has cleared the concussion protocol. During Sunday’s playoff win over the Dallas Cowboys, the pass rusher suffered the head injury. He did not practice with his teammates in Santa Clara on Tuesday, was limited on Wednesday, and was a full participant on Thursday.
Bosa recorded 15.5 sacks, 52 tackles, 21 tackles for a loss, 32 quarterback hits, and four forced fumbles during the regular season. He had three tackles, a quarterback hit, and half a sack during his 23 snaps against Dallas before exiting the game.
Bosa was among three players listed as “questionable” for Saturday’s game. The others are cornerback Ambry Thomas (knee) and defensive lineman Jordan Willis (ankle).

The San Francisco 49ers are just one win away from returning to the Super Bowl. They’ll have to go through the Los Angeles Rams to get there. On Saturday night, the Niners won their third consecutive road game, a stunning 13-10 victory against the Green Bay Packers at a frigid Lambeau Field. They had to wait a day to learn who their next opponent would be.
The Tampa Bay Buccaneers hosted the Rams at Raymond James Stadium in the other NFC Divisional Playoff game but fell to the visiting NFC West champions by a score of 30-27.
That sets up a third 49ers-Rams matchup this season, with San Francisco winning the previous two. The 49ers won 31-10 in Week 10, and then again in Week 18—a thrilling 27-24 overtime victory that clinched the Bay Area team’s playoff
