Memphis police released photos of two gunmen suspected of fatally shooting rapper Young Dolph in Memphis, Tennessee on Wednesday.
The alleged shooters, with their guns drawn, were captured on surveillance footage approaching the bakeshop Makeda’s Butter Cookies as Dolph was inside.
The duo then allegedly fired several shots at the 36-year-old rapper inside the business, police said.
The suspected shooters fled in a white Mercedes Benz, according to cops.
Dolph, whose real name is Adolph Robert Thornton Jr., was pronounced dead on the scene, authorities said.
The rapper was from Memphis and was well known in the city, for which he named his 2016 debut studio album, “King of Memphis.”
The album reached No. 49 on the Billboard 200 chart, a record he beat in 2020 with his seventh album, “Rich Slave,” which reached No. 4.
