Bed Bath & Beyond is planning to shutter dozens of stores to start the year, including one in New Jersey.
The popular home goods retailer will permanently close 37 stores throughout 19 states, according to USA Today.
The Bed Bath & Beyond store closing in New Jersey is in Edgewater, located at 489 River Rd.
Other states with locations that will shutter are Alabama, Arizona, California, Florida, Georgia, Idaho, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Mississippi, New York, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Texas, Virginia, Washington, Wisconsin and West Virginia.
Exact closing dates have yet to be announced, but most will shutter by February, according to the report.
Bed Bath & Beyond, which is based in Union, announced in 2020 it would close 200 stores throughout the next two years. New Jersey stores in Howell, Jersey City and Rockaway have closed since the announcement.
The retailer is planning a launch of new brands to lure younger customers.
There are currently 36 Bed Bath & Beyond locations in New Jersey and 818 worldwide.
