Singer John Mayer made headlines last week when he picked up the late comedian Bob Saget‘s car from the airport, and now there’s word that he even paid to fly his body home to Los Angeles.

Saget was in the midst of a stand-up comedy tour near Orlando, Florida when he was found dead in his hotel room on January 9 at 65 years of age.

After Mayer, 44, and comedian Jeff Ross, 56, shared stories about Bob on Instagram while driving his car back from the airport, a new report from Showbiz 411 revealed Mayer paid for a private plane to fly Saget’s body back from Florida to Los Angeles.

Mayer shared the first look at the hoodies on Twitter, stating, ‘Bob Saget worked tirelessly to raise awareness for the Scleroderma Research Foundation. That’s why I asked #jeremydean & @littlepatterns to help design this hoodie to keep his memory and the fight for a cure alive. Out Now – All proceeds go to @srfcure.’

He also added a link to Represent.com/SRF, where fans can purchase the hoodie for $54.99.

Saget became heavily involved with the Scleroderma Research Foundation after his sister Gay Saget passed away from the rare disease at just 47 years of age, four years after she was diagnosed with scleroderma after being misdiagnosed many times.

‘I’ve never known a human being on this earth who could give that much love, individually and completely, to that many people in a way that made each person feel like he was a main character in their life and they were a main character in his life,’ he said during the car ride.

‘Everyone is so aware how universal Bob’s love for people was. The thing that just keeps coming up when people say they’re sorry is just, “I loved that guy,”‘ Mayer continued.

‘He had every excuse under the sun to be cynical, to be upset, to be distrusting,’ Mayer said. ‘He had every reason to be the guy in the back of the bar bitter.’
