Nick Jonas and Priyanka Chopra are the proud parents of a newborn.
Chopra and Jonas, who grew up in Wyckoff and Little Falls, made identical announcements on social media Friday.
“We are overjoyed to confirm that we have welcomed a baby via surrogate,” they said. “We respectfully ask for privacy during this special time as we focus on our family.”
Chopra, 39, and Jonas, 29, got married in 2018 with a series of ceremonies and parties in India.
Jonas rose to fame as a member of the Jonas Brothers with his siblings Kevin and Joe Jonas. After the group disbanded in 2013, he embarked on a solo career as a singer and actor before reuniting with his brothers creatively in 2019, releasing the No. 1 song “Sucker” and No. 1 album “Happiness Begins.”
Jonas is slated to play another New Jersey singer, Four Seasons lead Frankie Valli, in a new “Jersey Boys” movie produced by Valli.
Chopra, who recently appeared in “The Matrix Resurrections,” has starred in Indian films since the 2000s and had her first role in American TV in 2015 on “Quantico.”
Now all three Jonas Brothers are fathers. Joe Jonas, 32, welcomed a daughter in 2020 with his wife, “Game of Thrones” star Sophie Turner, 25. Kevin Jonas, 34, has two daughters, Valentina, 5, and Alena, 7, with wife Danielle Jonas.
