No. 5 Michigan leads No. 2 Ohio State 14-13 at halftime, marking the first occasion the Wolverines have led The Game after 30 minutes since 2016. UM got off to an ideal start, taking the ball 75 yards for a touchdown on the opening drive, but it could rue failing at a chance to go up two scores. OSU was pinned inside its 10-yard line, went three-and-out and allowed a nice punt return. Michigan quickly moved into the red zone on its next series, but quarterback Cade McNamara was intercepted forcing a ball into tight coverage.
Fortunately for the Wolverines, after the Buckeyes responded with a long drive of their own, Aidan Hutchinson picked up his 11th sack of the season to force Ohio State to settle for a field goal. OSU took a brief 10-7 lead in the second quarter before a long Michigan touchdown drive, which featured a spectacular pass from McNamara to Cornelius Johnson that put the Wolverines back ahead. The Buckeyes were able to get a field goal just before halftime to cut their deficit to a single point.
