It looks like Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers is not a big fan of Mac Jones and the New England Patriots’ strategy during Monday Night Football.

To recall, the Patriots attempted just three passes in the game against the Buffalo Bills and completed two for 19 yards. They relied heavily on their ground game in a bid to avoid any trouble brought by the bad weather condition during the contest.

During his latest appearance in the Pat McAfee Show, Rodgers was asked whether he would be fine throwing just three passes in a game. Of course with his stature and confidence in his ability, the Packers superstar claimed doing such a thing is unnecessary even amid harsh environmental conditions.

“I don’t think that would be necessary. We played in a lot of inclement weather … and there’s little adjustment to the plan you could make. I think you have to take some shots down the field. Regardless of how bad the wind is you have to find a way to keep them honest,” Rodgers said.

The Patriots won against the Bills, 14-10, with a lot of people crediting Bill Belichick (to the frustration of Sean McDermott) for winning the battle of the strategies in the game.

For what it’s worth, Aaron Rodgers might be right that the Patriots could have attempted more passes in the contest. After all, attempting just three seems too few given the fact that Jones has been playing really well for them over the past few weeks. Not to mention that the rookie QB might have needed that experience so he would know what to do if he’s put into the same situation next time.

But then again, a win is a win and the Patriots did well in executing their game plan to remain atop the AFC.
