Actor Alec Baldwin’s first interview since the tragic “Rust” shooting is set to air during prime time on ABC and Hulu on Dec. 2.

The “30 Rock” actor sat down with ABC’s George Stephanopoulos on Tuesday for an 80-minute interview that will air at 8 p.m. Eastern Thursday.

The “Good Morning America” anchor called the discussion “raw” and “intense” during his show Wednesday morning.

“I’ve done thousands of interviews in the last 20 years at ABC,” Stephanopoulos said. “This was the most intense I’ve ever experienced.”

The anchor added: “As you can imagine, he’s devastated but he was also very candid, he was very forthcoming.”

In late October on the “Rust” set in New Mexico, Baldwin fired a prop gun loaded with live ammunition, killing cinematographer Halyna Hutchins and injuring director Joel Souza.

The deadly incident has spurred an investigation approved by a judge into how live rounds may have wound up alongside dummy rounds in the gun.

Criminal charges have not been ruled out, as the Santa Fe County Sheriff’s Office is trying to determine how the tragic event occurred.

Stephanopoulos said that during the interview, Baldwin was forthcoming, answering “every question” and talking about Hutchins and his meeting with her family as well.

“[He] went through in detail what happened on the set that day and I have to tell you I was surprised in many places over the course of that hour and 20 minutes we sat down yesterday,” the anchor said.

The ABC interview is the first time Baldwin has addressed the incident on camera, aside from a brief interview he gave to TMZ while being followed by paparazzi days after the deadly shooting.
