TL;DR

  • Tipster Jon Prosser has revealed apparent Galaxy S22 and Galaxy S21 FE launch details.
  • It’s believed the phones will be launched roughly a month apart.

We were initially expecting the Galaxy S22 series to launch in January, in line with the Galaxy S21 series. But we’ve also heard several rumors pointing to the Galaxy S21 FE coming in January instead.

Now, frequent leaker Jon Prosser has delivered apparent launch details for the Galaxy S21 FE and the Galaxy S22 family. These details include a launch date, pre-order information, and release dates.

Jon Prosser S21 FE S22 launches

Starting with the Galaxy S21 FE, the tipster claimed that the phone will launch on January 4, 2022. Prosser asserts that there won’t be a pre-order period, with the phone apparently being available to buy from January 11, 2022.

Meanwhile, the leaker says the Galaxy S22 series launch event will take place on February 8, 2022. It’s believed that pre-orders will kick off on the same day, followed by general availability on February 18.

We’d definitely take these details with a pinch of salt given Prosser’s track record. But he has delivered a major confirmed leak this year by revealing the Pixel 6 design in early 2021. The tipster has also shown off real-world images of what’s believed to be the S22 Ultra.

If confirmed though, it means that the S21 FE and S22 series could launch roughly a month apart, which isn’t ideal for the S21 FE given that it’s expected to offer older silicon. But hopefully, the FE model is competitively priced compared to the base Galaxy S22.

How much would you be willing to pay for the Galaxy S21 FE (assuming it’s essentially the S20 FE with updated silicon)? Let us know via the poll below.
